The Spark- Gavrilo Princip Graphic Novel teaser.

Here is a teaser page from the Gavrilo Princip graphic novel-The Spark that I'm currently working on with the author Kirk Kjeldsen. Gavrilo Princip is responsible for the assassination of Franz Ferdinand whose death triggered a series of events that lead up to World War I. History revelas very little information about Gavrilo and he is often very briefly mentioned in the footnotes of history books.

This novel will focus on his life, his passions and motives.

The release of the novel will hopefully be around the eve of WWI in a few years. There will be regular updates on this blog, so keep an eye out!

For Webster World Magazine. This series was for an article that talked about several Webster students and alumni leading dangerous/adventurous lives.

The following drawings/sketches are some of the pieces that did not make the final cut, but that I still personally somewhat liked.

For SCHOLASTIC. A series of illustrations for a children's theatre play.

NEW ILLUSTRATION: SEINFELD

Illustration for Antenna Magazine. For an article that talks about the first episode of season 11 of Seinfeld. Jerry, worried about his standing as a man, tells Kramer about his plan of possibly getting married. Kramer gives him a few facts of life, as he sees them, portraying marriage as a man made prison and presents a strong case for solitary life.

The first sketch (below) was my first attempt at making Jerry look like a young bachelor, but he looked too much like a college student and not enough "GQ".
